1 Aug 2005 - Clean up your dogs mess

New dog waste bins have been provided around the village. Following the success of the two that were provided last year, the Parish council have purchased two more bins. These were provided using a grant from our County Councillor Mr D. Nelson. It is hoped that these additional bins will help to improve the footpaths. The locations of the bins are at Rod lane, Nr Spurwells, Bus shelter and very soon, Penny's Meade.

The whole of South Somerset is a 'designated area' under the terms of the Dogs (Fouling of Land) Act 1996. Any person in charge of a dog must blean up after it IMMEDIATELY, on any land that is open to the air and to which the public are entitled or permitted to have access.

Failure to clean up after your dog is a criminal offence.
